A distinguished cultural presence at the conclusion of the Kingdom’s participation in the Beijing International Book Fair


Literature and Publishing Authority and translation share The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Beijing International Book Fair 2026, which was held at the Chinese National Convention Center in the capital, Beijing, during the period from June 17 to 21, amid a distinguished cultural and knowledge presence that embodied the Kingdom’s growing position in the international cultural scene, and strengthened its presence in one of the most prominent international forums specialized in the book and publishing industry.
The CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasil said that the Kingdom’s participation in the exhibition achieved its goals of introducing Saudi literature and culture, and enhancing the presence of Saudi publishers in global markets.
In addition to supporting paths of cultural and knowledge cooperation between the Kingdom and the People’s Republic of China, which embodies the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and contributes to building sustainable partnerships in the fields of literature, publishing and translation.
Al-Wasil explained that the Beijing exhibition represented an important platform for expanding opportunities for professional partnerships and exchanging experiences in the fields of publishing and rights. Translation and content creation, in addition to enhancing cultural exchange between the Kingdom and China, pointing out that the interaction and interest witnessed by the Kingdom’s pavilion confirms the status that Saudi culture has gained globally, and the growing role it plays in building bridges of cultural communication between peoples.

Saudi Cultural Movement

The Kingdom’s pavilion, led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, witnessed a wide turnout from visitors to the exhibition and those interested in the publishing industry, and the pavilion reviewed the features of the Saudi cultural movement, and what it is witnessing. The sectors of literature, publishing, and translation are developing rapidly, in addition to introducing national initiatives and programs that support creativity and knowledge.

The accompanying cultural program included a series of dialogue seminars and literary evenings in which an elite group of Saudi writers and intellectuals participated, and reviewed various topics in literature, translation, and the publishing industry, and contributed to highlighting the Saudi cultural achievement and enhancing cultural dialogue between the Kingdom and the People’s Republic of China.

The pavilion included The Kingdom has a number of entities, including the King Abdulaziz House, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries, the Saudi Cultural Mission in Beijing, the Nasher Publishing and Distribution Company, the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China, and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman International Center for Arabic Calligraphy.
This comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance its cultural presence in international forums, support the publishing and translation industry, and expand the horizons of cultural cooperation. And cognitive, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
