December 8: Launch of make-up exams for “two categories of students”

The Ministry of Education has set the dates and controls for the make-up period exams for the end of the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026, for students in grades three to 12 in all tracks, general, advanced, elite, and applied, in public and private schools that apply the ministry’s curriculum, and which are scheduled to be held from the eighth to 12th of next December, while 12th grade students performed in all tracks (general, advanced, and elite), in public and private schools that implement the ministerial curriculum in various countries. Yesterday, the Emirates of the State held the end of the first semester exams in Islamic Education.

The Ministry of Education stated that the make-up exams target two categories of students, the first of whom were absent from the final exams with an acceptable excuse, and the second of those who faced technical problems proven via the IDH platform. Among its directives, it stressed the need for students to come to their schools to take all exams, including paper and electronic exams, stressing the commitment of students from private schools that follow the Ministry’s curriculum to perform their exams in government schools according to prior coordination.

She explained that the English language exam for grade 12 includes two electronic parts, while the chemistry exam includes providing students with the periodic table on paper for the general and advanced tracks, and electronically via the Swift Assess platform for the elite track.

According to the examination schedules seen by Emirates Today, the examinations will begin on Monday, the eighth of next December, with students in the 12th grade (general, advanced, and elite) taking the physics test in the morning period from 09:00 to 10:30, followed on the same day by the social studies test in the second period from 10:30 to 11:30 for all tracks.

On Tuesday, the ninth of December, students take the English language test in the first period from 09:00 to 10:30, where the 12th grade students submit the written part electronically in addition to the electronic reading part, and this is followed by the chemistry test for students of the general, advanced, and elite tracks in the second period from 10:30 to 11:30.

Exams continue on Wednesday, December 10, with a mathematics test for students in the general, advanced, and elite tracks in the first period from 09:00 to 10:30.

On Thursday, December 11, 12th grade students in all tracks will take the Arabic language test in the morning period from 09:00 to 10:30, followed by the Islamic education test in the second period from 10:30 to 11:30.

The students will conclude the make-up exam race on Friday, December 12, with a biology test, which is taken by students in the general, advanced, and elite tracks in a uniform period extending from 09:00 to 11:00, which is the last day of the make-up exams for the first semester.

In a related context, the 12 students in all general, advanced and elite tracks, in public and private schools that implement the ministerial curriculum in the various emirates of the country, took the end-of-first semester exams in Islamic education yesterday.

The students’ opinions were unanimous regarding the variety of questions that took into account the students’ individual differences, and came from the course and did not record any difficulty. General and advanced students are scheduled to take the biology exam today, and the exams will conclude on Thursday, December 4th, with the social studies subject following the Union Day holiday.

A number of 12th grade students in all tracks confirmed the ease of the Islamic Education exam questions, which were straightforward in most of the exam content, and in their content simulated the levels of learners and individual differences that differ from one student to another, and matched the recently approved exam structures, explaining that the exams did not contain any ambiguous questions that would confuse the students in the committees.

For its part, the Ministry of Education confirmed that no complaints or inquiries were registered about the examination paper, while school administrations confirmed the stability of the examination process and that there were no complaints or reservations from students.
