Brand Dubai announces the organization of the “Union” march on the second of next December

Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government Media Office, in cooperation with the Events Insurance Committee in the Emirate of Dubai, announced the organization of the “Union” March on the 2nd of next December in celebration of the 54th Union Day, as part of the agenda of National Month events in Dubai launched by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. An expression of the love, loyalty and pride that the people of the Emirates have for the nation and its leadership.
This initiative comes within the framework of Brand Dubai’s keenness to enhance community participation and celebrate the spirit of the union through safe and organized interactive activities, in a way that reflects the values of cohesion and pride in national identity. The meeting point will be from Dubai Maritime City at 3 p.m., and will start from Jumeirah Road, Dar Al Ittihad Intersection, to Burj Al Arab Intersection, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., in a parade that embodies national unity and the spirit of community. On this occasion, more than 1,000 flags will be distributed to the march participants, with the participation of more than 30 volunteers in cooperation with the Community Development Authority. While the importance of participants adhering to the guidelines and controls that ensure their safety and the safety of road users was stressed.
National event
In this context, Brand Dubai Director Shaima Al Suwaidi said, “We are pleased to cooperate with the Dubai Events Insurance Committee to organize this national march that expresses feelings of pride and belonging and brings together all segments of society to celebrate Union Day.”
Al Suwaidi added: “We are keen to provide quality events that highlight the established values of our country and our Emirati identity in a contemporary spirit that reflects the path of development and prosperity. We invite all members of society, citizens and residents, to participate in the march of the “Union” in a civilized manner befitting the status of this precious national day.” She concluded by emphasizing that adherence to the instructions and guidelines for authorized marches constitutes an essential pillar to ensure the safety of everyone and the success of the event in a way that reflects the civilized face of Dubai and the UAE.
Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, Ahmed Al Khaja, said: “The celebrations of the 54th Federation Day of the United Arab Emirates highlight the path full of achievements that the UAE has achieved under the wise guidance of the wise leadership, as well as the pride in our ancient cultural heritage and legacy. On this dear national occasion, we are organizing events that reflect the festive atmosphere and combine experiences of hospitality, entertainment, culture and culinary arts, in addition to a package of innovative activities that embody… The spirit of innovation inspired by the authentic Emirati heritage. Citizens and residents of approximately 200 nationalities participate in these activities, expressing their love and belonging to this land that embraces them. The organization of the “Union March” is one of the distinguished events organized on this occasion, which witnesses wide participation from everyone.
In turn, Director of the Community Programs Department at the Community Development Authority, Reem Obaid Al-Awabid, said: “Our participation in the ‘Union’ march comes within a comprehensive vision led by the Dubai government during the ‘Year of Community’, to enhance the individual’s presence and role in building a cohesive and cohesive society. The march is not only a celebratory event, but a national space in which the values of Zayed and Rashid are invoked, and in which the meaning of union, belonging and social responsibility is renewed.”
She added: “The participation of more than 30 volunteers from the Community Development Authority in distributing flags reflects the positive transformation in the culture of volunteering in Dubai, as the volunteer has become an essential partner in national and community events. We are working in the Authority to strengthen this role, and to invest in the “Year of Community” as a platform to consolidate the concept that volunteering is a national force that contributes to building people and deepening their ties with their community.”
For its part, the Events Security Committee in the Emirate of Dubai explained that the national march represents an opportunity to embody the values of unity and national belonging, stressing the keenness to “provide a safe environment for all members of society during the national event, and encourage everyone to participate in the spirit of celebration and adhere to traffic instructions to ensure a safe experience,” noting that security police patrols will be deployed along the march route to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Calling on drivers to adhere to the instructions and controls of the march, and traffic laws to ensure security and safety for all.”
