A full program of activities and events at the Cultural Foundation during the winter

Abu Dhabi, 28 November / WAM / The Cultural Foundation, affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, announced the presentation of a program full of shows and events during the period from December until the beginning of next January, suitable for all ages.

The season includes a concert by the Ars Nova Napoli, two classical ballets by the Marie Elle Russian Ballet, as well as winter programs and activities for children.

This program reflects the Cultural Foundation’s commitment to supporting creativity and enhancing community interaction in Abu Dhabi.

For its part, the Abu Dhabi Children’s Library continues its Union Day celebrations, offering children and families interactive storytelling sessions, workshops, puppet shows, and activities that highlight the features of each emirate, in a mix that combines education, fun, and cultural heritage.

The library will host its winter camp for children ages 4 to 14 from December 8 to 18, with a focus on exploring world cultures through interactive learning and fun activities.

The Children’s Arts Center offers its winter camp for children ages 5 to 12 from December 8 to 25, 2025, providing a creative environment to explore drawing, crafts, and other artistic adventures.

Ecole Ducasse Studio Abu Dhabi, located on the roof of the Cultural Foundation, will host its winter camp for children on weekdays from December 8 to January 2, which is designed to suit children aged 6 years and above, to provide them with a practical and enjoyable cooking experience.

On December 12, 2025, the audience will enjoy a special concert by Ars Nova Napoli, one of the most beloved Neapolitan nu-folk bands, known for their strong stage presence.

This band presents a unique and creative reinterpretation of traditional songs from southern Italy, in addition to its own original, unpublished compositions. Its music seamlessly blends a wide range and a wide spectrum of Mediterranean melodies, with the skillful use of musical harmonies and the interchange of playing between instruments, accompanied by a lively festive rhythm, which guarantees an interesting and enjoyable entertainment experience. This concert is presented in partnership with the Italian Cultural Center and the Embassy of Italy.

The world-famous Russian Ballet Marie Elle will present two classic performances in January 2026. On January 9, the troupe will revive the novel “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare through expressive narration, precise dance movements, and Prokofiev’s enchanting music, embodying the emotional power of the timeless love story. On January 10, the audience will be able to follow the performance of “Cinderella,” an enchanting production that combines classic ballet, magnificent costumes, and famous music. by Prokofiev, presenting the themes of love, tenderness and transformation in a show suitable for all ages. These shows are presented in cooperation with “Art for All”.

The season continues with a host of vibrant exhibitions, each celebrating unique artistic expression and rich cultural heritage.

The “Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim: Two Clouds in the Night Sky” exhibition celebrates the work of the pioneering Emirati artist, Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim, one of the influential names in the development of contemporary art in the UAE.

It takes visitors on an exploratory journey into Ibrahim’s contemplative approach and practices based on the creative process, drawn deeply from the picturesque nature of his hometown of Khor Fakkan.

“And Beyond” explores the element of air and its many different states through the lens of Arabic terms, specifically “stillness,” “air,” “breeze,” and “wind.”

In Arabic, “sukun” symbolizes the moment of calm and pause between movement, while “air” refers to the gentle, everyday state of the air.

The exhibition includes multimedia artworks by fifteen male and female artists, and is held under the supervision of the “Derwaza” experimental arts platform, and invites the public to reconnect with the subtleties and minute details of their natural surroundings and the transformations that the seasonal seasons bring about. The activities of the two exhibitions will continue until February 22, 2026.

The Cultural Foundation continues to offer a wide range of educational courses, workshops, and special programs for adults, adolescents, youth, and children in its art studios, the Calligraphy House, the Free Atelier, and the Children’s Arts Center.

These spaces provide community members with the opportunity to develop and enhance their artistic skills in a variety of fields, such as drawing, fine photography, sculpture, pottery, fashion design, sewing, and Arabic calligraphy.
