She suffered serious complications. A young singer died after plastic surgery

According to press reports, Colombian singer Myrly Diaz, a mother of two children, died after suffering a heart attack likely linked to complications from plastic surgery she underwent at a clinic in Bogota on Saturday morning.

The Sun newspaper reported that Diaz died in a hospital in the city of Vacatativa, where she was receiving treatment for a heart attack, while the nature of the medical complications that accompanied the operation has not yet been determined.

Diaz’s Instagram account was filled with farewell messages, as one of her friends wrote: “My dear friend and colleague, we will miss you… It’s not goodbye, we’ll see you soon,” while another commented: “There was no need to change anything.” Her last post was on November 11, in which she wrote that she had begun following up with her chiropractors in a new place. Diaz leaves behind two children, ages 11 and 13.

Her death comes as part of a series of deaths linked to plastic surgery in Latin America over the past two years, including the death of Alejandra Esquin, known as “Baby Demony” (24 years old) after plastic surgery, and the death of Marilia Menezes Antunes (28 years old) after liposuction in Brazil, in addition to “Playboy” model Tabby Brown, who died after a Brazilian butt lift in December 2024.
