Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance: Martyr’s Day embodies the meaning of pride and loyalty in the nation’s memory
Abu Dhabi, 30 November / WAM / His Excellency Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, said that Martyr’s Day carries in the nation’s memory the meaning of pride and loyalty. It is a national occasion that confirms the solid values on which the UAE was founded, and the values of altruism, loyalty, and sincere determination to serve the nation and defend its principles.
He added: On this day, we remember the people of the Emirates who embodied the highest levels of sacrifice and sincerity, and made love of the homeland a responsibility that goes beyond the self to become a national and humanitarian commitment rooted in the conscience of every Emirati.
He continued: The heroics of the martyrs will remain a beacon guiding the journey of generations towards preserving the achievements achieved and preserving the nation’s security and stability, stressing that commemorating the martyrs is a national commitment and a practical translation of the value of loyalty that the wise leadership places at the top of its priorities, and that the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs are an inexhaustible source of resolve and persistence, and an engine for the spirit of perseverance, which makes serving the nation an honor and a great responsibility.
He said: We in the Ministry derive from this occasion the meanings of commitment and responsibility in performing duty, and perseverance in serving the nation faithfully and efficiently, in fulfillment of the sacrifices of the heroes who gave us an eternal lesson in determination, unity, and belonging.
