Growth of the software industry in China during the first ten months

BEIJING, 1st December, 2017 (WAM) – The software and IT services industry in China achieved stable growth in revenues during the first ten months of this year.

Official data issued by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that the total revenues of the industry amounted to about 12.51 trillion yuan during the first ten months of 2025, an increase of 13.2% on an annual basis, while the total profits of the industry increased by 7.7% on an annual basis to reach about 1.57 trillion yuan.

During the same period, industry exports amounted to 51.09 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.7% compared to the same period last year, recording an increase in the pace of growth for eight consecutive months.

The revenues of the information technology services sector recorded a growth of 14.4%, reaching about 8.61 trillion yuan during the period last January-October. To contribute 68.8% of the total revenues of this industry.
