Al Ain City Municipality decorates 60 lively streets to celebrate the 54th Union Day

Al Ain, 1st December / WAM / The Al Ain City Municipality has completed its preparations to celebrate the 54th Union Day by implementing and operating decoration works in the streets and squares of the Al Ain region, within a festive atmosphere that expresses the spirit of the Union and enhances the aesthetic and cultural appearance of the region.
Engineer Latifa Al-Kuwaiti, Director of the Al-Zeina Project, said that this year’s decorations included the entrances and exits of the Al Ain area, and on the Al Ain-Dubai Road, the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road and the downtown area, in addition to vital bridges such as the Municipality Bridge and Al-Sulaimi Bridge, and a number of roundabouts and selected vital intersections, bringing the total length of the decorated streets to 144.5 kilometers distributed over 60 vital streets.
She added that the Municipality Street was decorated with a distinctive festive look for this year, and the decoration works included areas of the roads of the external areas such as Al-Waqan, Sweihan, Al-Heer, and Al-Khazna, noting that the municipality used 2,848 diverse lighting formations designed in accordance with the unified identity of the 54th Union Day celebrations.
The municipality was keen to use environmentally friendly materials used in the implementation of decorations, and adopted modern, energy-efficient lighting systems and lighting in line with the trends of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in promoting the principles of environmental sustainability and rationalization of energy consumption. The design of the decorations also took into account the use of reusable materials in the coming years, in order to achieve efficiency in spending and reflect the municipality’s commitment to responsible environmental practices, and enhance Al Ain’s position as a sustainable area that combines beauty and environmental awareness.
