An inventory of certificates issued by suspicious universities in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas learned from a government source that the Civil Service Council has set a two-week deadline for state agencies to submit the names of employees who hold academic certificates from suspicious universities of questionable authenticity.
The source told Al-Qabas that a committee will review the certificates that will be submitted by state agencies, in order to verify their authenticity, and they will be examined according to a strict mechanism. Whoever is found to have an “invalid” certificate or issued by a fake university will be referred to the Public Prosecution after being investigated and forgery proven against him, according to the approved legal procedures.
The source pointed out that strict instructions had been issued by the Council of Ministers on the necessity of scrutinizing and examining certificates carefully, not being lenient with forgers, and placing the certificate examination file among the priorities.
He added, “The process of examining the educational certificates of state employees includes all categories of workers, including leaders and supervisors, and will not exclude anyone from auditing and accountability if it turns out that his educational certificate is forged.”
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sharida Al-Maousherji, stressed the concerted efforts in examining the educational certificates of state employees. From the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas
