His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, in a blog post on the “X” platform yesterday: “My brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, and I witnessed the official celebration of the 54th Union Day at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi. A celebration that takes us on a journey of a nation, a civilization, and a people that extends over thousands of years and is rooted in the depths of history and a story of renaissance that links the past, present, and future. On this precious occasion, we conjure a process of construction.”

It celebrated the legacy of the founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his authentic values ​​that contributed to shaping the identity of the UAE.

The ceremony included a display of historical collectibles documenting the country’s journey through time, including pieces within the Zayed National Museum’s holdings, which included the “Abu Dhabi Pearl,” a natural pearl about 8,000 years old, considered one of the oldest pearls in the world, along with bronze swords found at the “Saruq Al-Hadid” site, one of the most prominent ancient metal industry sites, in addition to a collection of red agates that have been in circulation for 5,000 years, as well as rare historical coins that are among the first currencies in the world. The area, and the “Al Kamal Tool”, which is a wooden navigational tool used to measure the height of the stars and facilitate travel across the seas. It also included a vehicle belonging to the late Sheikh Zayed that he used in the sixties, and other exhibits documenting the history of the Emirates. The creative and technical teams presented the history of the country through a visual journey, light shows, and costumes inspired by Emirati heritage, orchestral pieces, and folk arts. The ceremony brought together artists of different ages and backgrounds to express the role of everyone who contributed to writing the story of the United Arab Emirates. Continuing across generations.

The National Orchestra of the United Arab Emirates also participated in the ceremony, which presented a special work in its first participation that expressed the spirit of the Emirates and the values ​​that unite its people.

The ceremony was broadcast live on the official digital platforms for Union Day, to provide the opportunity for everyone who considers the UAE their homeland to participate in the celebration.
