A media delegation reviews the cultural movement in "Muharraq nights" And the march of achievements at the Gulf Cooperation Council pavilion

MANAMA, 3 December / WAM / Yesterday evening, within the framework of the activities accompanying the 46th Gulf Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahraini National Contact Center organized a field visit for a media delegation, which included a tour of the “Muharraq Nights” festival, and the pavilion of the Gulf Cooperation Council held in the Bahrain National Museum.

The visit aimed to inform the media delegation of the cultural and civilizational scene in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to shed light on the depth of fraternal ties and the historical achievements documented by the Gulf Cooperation Council pavilion, which reflects the common Gulf identity and integration among the GCC countries.

The delegation began its tour in the historic city of Muharraq, where they viewed the activities of the fourth edition of the “Muharraq Nights” festival, organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities during the period from 1 to 30 December 2025. The media personnel toured throughout the “Pearling Path”, a witness to the city’s antiquity, which has turned into a space for a wide cultural and artistic movement that brings together an elite group of creators and culture makers.

The delegation listened to an explanation about the interactive programs offered by the festival, ranging from arts, design, traditional crafts, music, and food, praising the cognitive and visual experiences that “Muharraq Nights” provides to visitors, and how it combines the fragrant history and the spirit of modernity in an exploratory experience that reflects the richness of Bahraini identity.

The delegation moved to the Bahrain National Museum to inspect the Gulf Cooperation Council pavilion, which was opened to coincide with Manama hosting the 46th Gulf Summit.

Through its interactive design and multimedia technologies, the pavilion provides a comprehensive historical and documentary narrative of the Council’s journey from its founding until today.

The delegation toured the various sections of the pavilion, starting with the entrance decorated with the flags of the member states and the statements of the founding leaders, passing through the historical display of the first moments of founding and the signing of the statute in Abu Dhabi in 1981.

The delegation reviewed the sections dedicated to reviewing economic and development achievements, most notably the customs union, the Gulf common market, and the railway connection project, where the infographics and exhibits reflected the language of numbers and accurate statistics of the volume of cooperation and economic integration.

Media professionals also stopped in front of the stations that highlight joint Gulf institutions in the fields of education, communications, and intellectual property, in addition to the special section on the achievements of Gulf women, youth, and sports, which documents the bright stations of women’s empowerment in the Gulf.

At the conclusion of the tour of the pavilion, the delegation was briefed on the axis of military and defense cooperation between the GCC countries, and on the Council’s efforts in international cooperation and strategic dialogue with UN and international organizations.

The media delegation praised the content of the pavilion, which combines official character and innovation in presentation, stressing that it constitutes an important knowledge platform for documenting the Council’s journey and enhancing pride in Gulf identity.
