Reckless behaviour.. Dubai Police impounds 49 cars and fines 3,153 drivers during Union Day celebrations

Dubai Police impounded 49 cars and 25 bicycles, and released 3,153 young drivers who committed traffic violations during National Day celebrations. Dubai Police called on parents to educate their children and direct them towards celebrating responsibly and enhancing the value of traffic safety for them.
Dubai Police had warned of the consequences of not adhering to traffic laws during Union Day celebrations, pointing out that it would take deterrent measures against violators.
It reported that the violating drivers committed violations, including not adhering to the lane, obstructing traffic, driving recklessly and exiting the car windows, in addition to other practices that were dealt with directly.
Director of the General Traffic Department at Dubai Police, Brigadier Juma bin Suwaidan, appealed to members of the public before the celebrations to adhere to the instructions issued regarding the requirements for celebrating Union Day, which include not using any type of spray by the driver, passenger or pedestrian.
Do not obliterate the front or rear number plates, do not write any phrases or place inappropriate stickers on the vehicle, do not change the color of the vehicle, do not load the vehicle more than the prescribed number, do not exit from the windows and sunroof of the vehicle, do not cover the vehicle’s side, front and rear windows with stickers or put a front sunshade. It is also strictly prohibited to hold marches or random gatherings.

Not making parade movements on internal and external roads, not raising flags other than the flag of the United Arab Emirates, not driving a vehicle that makes a loud noise, or using the vehicle’s horn unnecessarily, or the inconvenience resulting from recording devices, noting that non-compliant vehicles will be fined and impounded, and only the flag of the United Arab Emirates and official Union Day stickers are allowed.
