The King of Bahrain and the Emir of Kuwait stress the importance of Gulf integration

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressed the importance of strengthening joint Gulf action, completing economic integration paths, and developing food and water security projects and the digital economy.

During the opening of the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council today, the King of Bahrain stressed the necessity of protecting Gulf security and maritime navigation, supporting political efforts to resolve the region’s issues, most notably the Palestinian issue, and completing the implementation of the peace plan in Gaza to establish an independent Palestinian state.

Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, also delivered a speech in which he praised Bahrain’s presidency of the summit, and congratulated it on its election to membership in the Security Council, affirming the Council states’ adherence to their unity and solidarity, condemning any attack on a member state, and renewing full support for Palestine and commitment to the two-state solution.
