With the participation of Bill Gates / announcing a prominent pledge to combat polio during Abu Dhabi Financial Week
ABU DHABI, 4 December / WAM / Abu Dhabi Financial Week, hosted by Abu Dhabi Global “ADGM” in cooperation with “ADQ” Holding Company as a major partner of the event, announced that it will host Bill Gates, Chairman of the Gates Foundation, as a keynote speaker in a pivotal session organized by the Mohammed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanitarian Impact, which includes the announcement of a very important humanitarian initiative, according to a press release issued by Abu Dhabi Global.
Bill Gates will participate in a session entitled “Investing in Humanity: Harnessing Private Capital to Drive Global Progress,” which will be held on the first day of the event, and will highlight the role of innovative financing and partnerships in confronting pressing global challenges. The session will also include a keynote speech delivered by His Excellency Dr. Shamma Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Acting Director General of the Mohammed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanitarian Impact, along with a group of high-level figures.
The session will conclude with an event that includes a landmark pledge with the participation of a group of global leaders and donors to announce a new funding commitment in support of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), a public-private partnership aimed at eliminating the disease around the world.
This special event is the latest addition to Abu Dhabi Financial Week, which brings together the elite of global financial institutions, policy makers, investors, market leaders and innovators in the “Capital of Capital” during the period from 8 to 11 December 2025.
This year’s financial event is expected to attract CEOs, CEOs, presidents and founders of companies, who together represent institutions managing assets worth more than $60 trillion, equivalent to more than half of the global GDP.
