The monitoring of 1.68 thousand violations was paralleled by directing more than 12.79 thousand warnings were issued to establishments that had observations that required immediate correction, in a proactive step aimed at evaluating performance before imposing penalties, and ensuring continuity of work in accordance with approved standard standards.

This supervisory strictness created an immediate positive impact in the field, as it prompted establishments to quickly rectify their situation, which jumped the number of regular agricultural licenses by 104%, bringing the number from 2.67 thousand licenses before the campaign to 5.46 thousand licenses by the end. month.

The list of seized violations included violations in multiple vital sectors, including vegetable and fruit markets, meat and fish, livestock and camels, in addition to slaughterhouses and fodder and firewood markets, where teams worked to carefully track the supply chains to ensure the regularity of the source and the safety of the product.

The Ministry strengthened its punitive measures with a package of awareness initiatives amounting to 25 initiatives aimed at raising the level of awareness among practitioners of the importance of compliance, and clarifying the legal and health risks resulting from violations, to ensure a safe and sustainable commercial environment.

The Ministry confirmed the continuation of its inspection tours on a monthly basis and at the same increasing pace, stressing that monitoring 1.68 thousand violations is only the beginning of a comprehensive control process aimed at protecting the consumer and achieving food security in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
