His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, congratulated Hussein Al-Banna, Executive Director of the Traffic and Roads Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority, on the occasion of his obtaining Fellow membership from the British Road and Transport Association (CIHT), making him the first engineer in the UAE and the Middle East to obtain this position.
His Highness said in a blog post on his official account on the “X” platform: We congratulate Brother Hussein Al-Banna, Executive Director of the Traffic and Roads Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority, for obtaining Fellow membership from the British Roads and Transport Association (CIHT), making him the first engineer in the UAE and the Middle East to obtain this position.
His Highness added: “This achievement reflects the value of the national competencies that have been invested in and are now trusted by the world, and confirms that the expertise that is being built in the Emirates and Dubai has become an emulated reference for global institutions, and a new standard of excellence in the transportation and infrastructure sector.”
