Abu Dhabi, 4 December / WAM / The events of the Boudib International Show Jumping Championship “two-star category” began today, and an international championship in the one-star category coincides with veterinary examination procedures for 239 horses, accompanied by 155 male and female riders from 29 countries around the world.

The riders participate in 9 international competitions in the “two-star category” and in 6 international competitions in the one-star category, which are held on the field of the Grand Indoor Hall in the village of Boudheib in the Al Khatm area, from December 4 to 7, under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation and the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation.

The Syrian rider, Muhammad Zuhair, with “Family du Parc,” won the title of the first competition in the “One Star” category, with the specifications of the two special stages on the 100 cm hurdles, finishing the second stage with a time of 24.24 seconds. The rider, Khalifa Hamdan Al-Jahouri, with “Chaco Star du Zavel,” came second, recording 26.86 seconds.

Three international competitions, the “two-star category,” will be held tomorrow according to the specifications of the three international categories, which are the small and middle, with two special stages on the 120 cm and 130 cm hurdles, and the major, with one round on the 145 cm hurdles.

Saturday’s competitions will begin with one-round specifications, the smallest category over the 120 cm hurdles, the middle category over the 135 cm hurdles, and the major category with the two-stage specifications over the 145 cm hurdles.

The tournament will conclude next Sunday with the holding of 3 competitions, the small and middle ones with one-round specifications on the 120 and 135 cm hurdles, and the grand prize, with the one-round specifications with a differentiation round on the 145 cm hurdles, with prizes of about 56 thousand euros.
