“Identity and Nationality” implements a “unified journey” to renew the passport and identity card for citizens

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security announced the implementation of a unified, smart, integrated trip project to renew the passport and ID card for citizens, as part of its plan for the second cycle of the program for zeroing out bureaucracy in the services system. It explained through its digital platform that the most prominent advantages of the project include “a unified, smart, integrated trip for renewal,” “a proactive service,” “a unified screen for updating data and images,” and “no repetitive uploading of documents or data.”
The benefits within the project included reducing completion time by at least 50%, and reducing inquiries and calls by 40%.
She confirmed that in the event of renewing an expired passport – if the ID has less than six months left to expire – the document can be renewed in one service.
