Special Olympics UAE participates in two world championships

Abu Dhabi, December 5 / WAM / The UAE Special Olympics has launched its participation in the World Para Sailing Championships in the Sultanate of Oman, which concludes its competition next Monday.

The Sailing Championship is the first official world championship under the supervision of the International Sailing Federation, and is held with the participation of 250 sailors from various countries of the world, where players compete in individual categories for people with mental disabilities and non-technical categories, in addition to a new category in the world of marine sports, which is the “AH1” seated sailing wing category.

He also began his participation in the first edition of the Unified Basketball World Cup in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, which will conclude next Tuesday.

The tournament will be held in total with the participation of 20 teams for men and 18 for women, including Special Olympics players and their unified partners.
