The President of the State receives the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received today at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, who is on a working visit to the UAE.

Masrour Barzani expressed his sincere congratulations to His Highness the President of the State on the occasion of the 54th Union Day, wishing the UAE and its people further progress and prosperity… while His Highness thanked him for his good feelings towards the UAE and wished Iraq continued stability and development.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with Masrour Barzani the fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Iraq in general and the Kurdistan Region in particular, and ways to strengthen them and expand their horizons in a way that serves the common development of both sides and brings goodness and development to the two countries and their peoples.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, stressing the importance of working to enhance peace and stability in the region for the benefit of all its countries and peoples.
