Nesma Mahjoub presents Umm Kulthum’s songs in a movie "Aren’t you?" Lamna Zaki

The star Nesma Mahjoub performs a group of songs by Mrs. Umm Kulthum within the events of the movie "The Woman" Starring Mona Zaki, it is scheduled to be released in theaters starting December 10. Nesma Mahjoub performs the singing part of the character Mona Zaki in the film.
These preparations included training Nessma Mahjoub for Mona Zaki twice a week over the course of an entire year, with the aim of mastering muscular and physical performance and the articulation of letters, in addition to the movement of the muscles of the face, jaw and lips, and absorbing the distinctive singing style of Umm Kulthum with its tones, sound spaces, breathing timings and lyrical ornaments, in a way that serves the character’s credibility within the work.
The story of the movie “The Woman”
The film, starring Mona Zaki, written by Ahmed Murad and directed by Marwan Hamed, narrates the autobiography of Umm Kulthum, the Star of the East, highlighting her as a woman and a human being before she was an artist, and stopping at the most prominent stages of her personal and artistic life, and the relationships that influenced her career, in addition to highlighting her great influence on the Arab nation and the entire world.
