The authority revealed that the supervisory teams caught (586) violators who carried out preparatory work. "Calling" For transporting passengers using their private cars without a license, and (692) violators transported passengers in their private cars in irregular ways.
The authority confirmed that these campaigns come as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance competitiveness in, and reducing illegal practices that harm the quality of transport and the safety of passengers.
It stressed that this is a step that contributes to enhancing the compliance rate in the passenger transport sector, in line with the national strategy for transport and logistics services.
The authority indicated that the new system for land transport on roads, issued by Royal Decree No. (M/188) dated (08/24/1446 AH), stressed the Preventing the practice of transportation without a regular license.
Seizure and financial fines
The penalties for repeat violations stipulate financial fines of up to (11) thousand riyals, with the vehicle being seized for a period of (25) days against those who carry out the preparatory work. "Calling"
While the penalties amount to a fine of (20) thousand riyals and the impoundment of the vehicle for a period of up to (60) days against those who engage in irregular transportation, with the possibility of selling the violating vehicle at a public auction and deporting the non-Saudi in the event of repeating the violation.
