American star Katy Perry posted on her social media accounts a selfie in which she appeared in the arms of former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau under the autumn leaves during her visit to Japan, officially announcing their engagement.

Katie commented on the photo, saying: “Tokyo on tour and more.”

Perry’s post also included a group of photos and videos, including a black-and-white clip of the duo eating sushi, while Trudeau lovingly embraces her, in addition to other moments while they were eating.

Rumors about Perry and Trudeau’s relationship began during the summer after they appeared in Montreal during what was described as a “lunch date”, a few months after Perry separated from her former fiancé, Orlando Bloom, and Trudeau separated from his wife Sophie Gregoire in 2023 after a marriage that lasted 18 years.
