The Al-Mahood Factory is the first smart industrial project that integrates the skill of “Nawaem Al-Ahsa” with artificial intelligence techniques, targeting the provision of 50 quality jobs and the production of 30 bashts daily, which will transfer the region’s heritage from the circle of individual work to the horizons of sustainable global manufacturing.
Latifa Al-Afaliq, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Al-Ahsa Girl Association, blessed this achievement for the people and craftsmen, stressing that the project came to meet the needs of A wide category of beneficiaries and serves the tourism and education sectors, noting that the introduction of technology and artificial intelligence has become an urgent necessity to develop this The ancient industry in Al-Ahsa, which is considered «The House of Crafts» and home to more than 200 families who have preserved this profession for hundreds of years, and it is time to link their legacy to the technologies of the future.

It was achieved after years of hard work and successful partnerships, explaining that the project focuses on empowering women to prove that bisht weaving is no longer limited to men, but has become a field of women’s creativity, revealing plans to launch innovative and modern products derived from the identity of the Hasawi bisht to compete in modern markets.
From within the production lines, craftswoman Bushra Al-Dalawi spoke passionately about the details of the profession, recounting the delicate stages of weaving, starting with From “Demarcation” and “Hella” all the way up to
“My girl” without any prior knowledge of sewing, so that today she can master all the basics and execute “Al-Sudairi” and bashout with great skill, stressing that the institute discovered her talent and gave her an opportunity to develop a skill that would benefit her community and family and make her feel proud of herself.
The opinion was shared by craftswoman Maryam Al-Muhaisen, who explained that she underwent intensive training for six months before specializing in making bashout, noting that the ambition Craftswomen go beyond traditional products to create modern bags and products inspired by Besht, considering that presenting Al-Ahsa’s heritage in a practical way is the greatest achievement that can be achieved.
Craftswoman Wajeha Al-Omran confirmed that the work environment in the factory is characterized by a family spirit, as she began her journey out of a love of sewing to be later nominated as part of the “Al-Mahood” team, stressing that the team’s collective ambition is to provide Saudi Hasawi products with world-class quality that best represent the region in international forums.
Dia Al-Nasser, the machine operator at the factory, detailed the technical work mechanism, indicating that the production line consists of corresponding units that include 15 heads for each line, working for up to 12 hours to produce 30 pashtos per day, starting with preparing the materials and designing the shoulders and ending with the stages of lining and adjusting the sizes with extreme precision.
Abdullah Al-Jawhar, the machine operator, reviewed the technical diversity in the products, He explained that the factory produces the most famous “beats” such as Al-Malakiya, Al-Murauba’, and Al-Tabuk,
