His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, confirmed that the work that will be completed during the coming period in the Muhdhab suburb will be double what was accomplished in the previous period. His Highness explained that the suburb includes approximately 6,000 plots of land for building housing, and that 2,000 homes located within residential complexes have been built and delivered.

This came during the intervention of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in the “Direct Line” programme, and His Highness confirmed that immediately after the delivery of the completed housing, work was underway to build 2,000 new housing, indicating that His Highness the Muhdhab suburb will be complete in all aspects, in terms of the main roads such as the road linking the Al Shanouf area to Nizwa, and the Emirates Road, in addition to various other services.

His Highness discussed the basic services that will be provided in the area, such as nurseries, revealing his directive to change the location of the land allocated for the establishment of the nursery, so that it is easy to access, takes into account the residents of the area and does not cause them any inconvenience, in addition to providing spaces to establish sufficient parking lots for parents of children.

He explained that the sites are ready for the construction of government schools in the Muhdhab suburb, and coordination is underway with the Ministry of Education in the country to implement and build the schools.

His Highness pointed out that most of the families who live in the Muhdhab suburb are young people, and are considered newly formed families. His Highness explained that the directives come to postpone the disbursement of a third of the lands, amounting to 2,000 lands in the suburb, so that there will be lands available when the children of the families grow up and request lands close to their families. His Highness indicated that this model has begun to be applied to lands in the Al-Zubair area.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah touched on the beauty, cleanliness and natural diversity of the Muhdhab suburb, as it is not a marsh or a buried area, but rather a fertile land full of groundwater coming from Al-Madam through the folds of the suburb all the way to Maadhad bin Saeed Square, and then to Al-Faya, which meets the water coming from Fuli towards Mahafiz, north to Al-Hawiyah and Tahil, up to the Al-Zubair area, indicating that it ends in the Wasit Land Reserve. The wetland, His Highness explained that it runs underground in the aforementioned areas.

His Highness confirmed that if landowners in the Muhadhab suburb dig the land, they will obtain fresh water that will help them irrigate their crops.

His Highness called on residents to have compassion and communicate with their neighbors, explaining that if there is any problem, it must be reported, and His Highness will be the first to give solutions, with the aim of not losing neighbors and bringing them closer together so that the community is cohesive.

His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, discussed some of the houses that contain a number of families, and from which three houses emerge from one house, His Highness called them “critical houses,” which His Highness directed to quickly complete them to preserve family stability. His Highness stressed that the cases of conflict that come to him are many and people do not know about them, and that accelerating the pace of work to settle lands in the cities of Sharjah comes first and foremost to solve people’s problems and preserve families.

His Highness stressed that the directives on the necessity of completing work quickly and disbursing the amounts are an investment in society, noting that there are priorities that are classified according to people’s needs and situation.

His Highness stated that some of the cases that were followed up later turned out to be for personal benefit at the expense of the family, and the owner of the house rents it out and increases his monthly income. His Highness reassured the beneficiaries of housing support that work is being done day and night for the sake of stability.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concluded his intervention by talking about the employment file, indicating that new jobs are not based on overcrowding, but rather the performance of ill and sick employees is reviewed and sent away to rest in their homes, and vacancies are created that benefit job seekers who are able to serve the community.
