iCAUR V27 arrives in the Middle East with Golden REEV, introducing a new off-road experience

Off-road SUVs have always held a special place in the Middle East, with classics such as the Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Rover Defender known for their powerful performance. The current market includes gasoline, hybrid (HEV), and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options. Golden Rev (Golden Extended Series) combines the best of electric and petrol vehicles, making it adaptable to local driving needs. In August, the Chinese iCAUR V27 engine made its global debut in Dubai with this technology, and now it is coming to the Middle East, offering users a great new off-road option.
The iCAUR V27 engine is equipped with the Golden REEV system, which is a hybrid system that works efficiently and distributes power intelligently. The electric motor turns the wheels, while the engine generates electricity when needed. In daily driving, the car relies mainly on the electric motor, providing a smooth and quiet experience like pure electric cars. When the battery drops below a set level, the engine automatically starts generating power, charging the battery and directly powering the wheels if necessary. Once the battery is sufficient, the engine stops. This on-demand power management eliminates range anxiety, does not require a dense charging network, and makes the system well-suited to the driving conditions of the Middle East.
Compared to other regions, the Middle East has a unique natural environment: vast deserts, extended summer heat, and frequent transitions between city and wilderness. These conditions impose higher demands on vehicles driving in the area.

Off-road SUVs available on the market have different drive systems. The Middle East version of the Land Rover Defender offers a 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine or a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, providing powerful performance for various road conditions. The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Hybrid Vehicle (HEV) combines a 3.5-liter V6 engine with an electric motor, producing a combined power of 457 horsepower and maintaining fuel efficiency. However, as an electromagnetic electric motor, it cannot be connected to electricity, and the range of pure electricity is limited, which means it is still highly dependent on fuel and cannot drive long distances using only electricity. In comparison, the iCAUR V27 with Golden Rev offers a pure electric range of 156 km, with the engine efficiently generating power when needed. Daily mobility can be based entirely on electric driving, without frequent charging, without noise and without vibrations, providing a smoother and more economical city driving experience than conventional gas-powered cars or conventional HEVs.
BYD SONG PLUS and SEAL 7, both already available in the Middle East, use plug-in hybrid (PHEV) systems. These systems can be charged externally and allow the engine and electric motor to work together, flexibly switching modes depending on driving conditions. The combined range is up to 890 km, making long trips possible without the need for frequent recharging. However, while a PHEV relies mainly on electric power, the engine must take over during highway cruising or rapid acceleration, which can cause slight vibrations, noise, and vibrations. In contrast, Golden REEV eliminates this problem completely. Compared with the dual drive system of PHEV, REEV has fewer failure points and is easier to maintain.

In wide desert terrain, Golden REEV shows obvious superiority and advantages over traditional gasoline systems, PHEV (hydraulic hydraulic) and HEV. Compared to a small PHEV battery, the REEV’s larger battery eliminates range anxiety. The range extender always works efficiently, keeping the engine powered, high performance, and strong fuel efficiency. Compared with HEVs and conventional gasoline-powered vehicles, REEV maintains the convenience of on-demand power and long range, superior to conventional gasoline-powered vehicles. Thanks to the instant torque of the electric motor, REEV delivers instant power response, making dune climbing and sand retrieval smoother and more agile, which gasoline systems, including high-distribution vehicles, cannot match. Combined with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (i-AWD), the iCAUR V27 improves grip and control in soft and complex terrain, performing exceptionally on roads and desert landscapes.
The Golden REEV engine in the iCAUR V27 is built around a 1.5 ton engine with an impressive 45.79% thermal efficiency. Combined with a range extender generator and drivetrain system that achieves a power transfer efficiency of 97.3%, this amounts to 3.71 kWh of electricity per liter of fuel, maximizing every bit of energy. This provides powerful performance with low power consumption, and even under the extreme heat of the Middle East, the system provides stable power.

iCAUR V27 has completed technical modifications and improvements for the Middle East and is scheduled to be launched soon. Users will be able to experience the Golden Reve’s smooth and quiet performance on city roads, as well as its powerful and reliable off-road capability in the desert. Discover the spirit of BORN TO PLAY and get ready for a new kind of tough off-road adventures with the iCAUR V27!
