Abu Dhabi, December 8 / WAM / The activities of the “Bridge 2025” Summit, the largest and most diverse global event in the fields of media, content, entertainment and sports, were launched today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), with wide participation from industry leaders and leaders of international institutions. The summit constitutes a strategic platform for exploring the future of media and sports, and maximizing the contribution of the creative sectors in supporting the sustainable economy, in line with the UAE’s vision of developing the creative economy system.

The summit is being held at a time when the global media landscape is witnessing rapid development, especially in sports media, which has become fundamentally dependent on modern technologies, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and digital content platforms, in addition to the rise of e-sports as a huge economic sector that attracts global investments and attracts millions of followers around the world.

Today’s events witnessed the presence of a group of the most prominent international sports and media figures, enhancing the summit’s position as a leading platform in shaping the future of sports media. The participants in the sessions today will be presented by Italian Fabrizio Romano, the most famous journalist in the world in the field of player transfers and deals, while the participation of stars and celebrities will continue tomorrow and the day after, most notably the great international coach Arsene Wenger, head of the football development program at the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

And former Spanish international star Gerard Pique, one of the most prominent former players in the field of sports innovation and the owner of pioneering initiatives in digital content and modern sporting events. Their participation represents a qualitative addition to the sports track at the summit.

The electronic games track represents a major focus of Bridge 2025, especially after the participation of China Joy, the largest electronic games exhibition in Asia, in its first international appearance outside East Asia. Its pavilion includes 19 exhibitors from the largest international companies developing digital games, in addition to exclusive offers, innovative experiences and the launch of new platforms, in addition to opening the horizons of international distribution and expanding the scope of intellectual property trade.

The track discussed the topics of designing “Metaverse” worlds, developing electronic and digital sports, and building business models that support this sector, whose global market size exceeds $200 billion, according to recent international reports issued within the “Global Games Market 2025.” A group of leading game developers, digital content makers, and technology investment experts participate in its sessions.

The summit also reviews the importance of sports media as a growing economic and cultural force, in light of the increasing shift towards digital content, live broadcasting, analysis and statistics platforms supported by artificial intelligence, and the use of augmented and virtual reality technologies in sports programs and advanced analyses.

The summit provides a wide space to discuss the development of sports media models by investing in high-quality content, and maximizing commercial returns from digital rights, advertising partnerships, audience content, smart applications, and interactive experiences, in a way that enhances the sector’s sustainability.

The summit will be held on an area exceeding one million six hundred and fifty thousand square feet, divided into seven tracks that include media, new technologies, content, music, marketing, electronic games, and creative industries. The summit is expected to attract more than 60,000 participants from 132 countries, along with 430 speakers, 1,200 senior executives around the world, and more than 300 exhibitors in the media, entertainment, sports and technology sectors.

During the three days, the summit will witness the organization of more than 300 sessions, seminars, and workshops, providing broad opportunities for communication, exchanging experiences, and establishing partnerships between investors, innovation pioneers, and content makers.
