Details: 4 Saudi companies sign agreements to develop Syrian oil and gas fields
Under the supervision and follow-up of Department of Energy, signed today, 4 Oil and Gas in the Syrian Republic.
These agreements come as an extension of the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Syrian Arab Republic in the energy sector, and within the framework of implementing the memorandums of understanding signed on August 28, 2025, and the resulting workshops and field visits to the relevant fields and facilities.
Details of the Agreements
The agreements signed today include:
1 – An agreement between Addis Company Holding Company and the Syrian Petroleum Company define the basic principles for the development, operation and production of gas fields, and aim to define the principles and conditions that will form the basis for the final technical service contract, development and operation of gas fields, and the facilities associated with them in the contract area, to increase current production, which includes 5 gas fields: Abu Rabah, Qamqam, North Al-Fayd, Al-Tiyas, and Zamlat Al-Mahr fields, and any other area to be agreed upon between the two parties later.
2 – An agreement for main services between TAQA Well Services Company and the Syrian company. For Petroleum, to provide advanced and integrated solutions and services for the construction and maintenance of oil and gas fields and wells in Syria.
This agreement aims to raise operational efficiency and increase oil and gas production, through integrated and advanced solutions for the construction and maintenance of wells, following the latest international technologies and using the latest equipment.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy, four agreements were signed between Saudi companies and the Syrian Petroleum Company in the areas of services, technical support, and the development and production of oil and gas fields in Syria.
3 – An agreement for basic services between the Arab Geophysical and Surveying Company "Arkas" And the Syrian Petroleum Company.
It aims to provide technical services in the field of two- and three-dimensional seismic survey services to support exploration and drilling efforts, in the field of oil and gas, and to establish a long-term strategic cooperation framework, to support and advance petroleum exploration, and the development of the Syrian energy industry, to ensure rapid response and flexibility, as well as to facilitate the rapid start of technical projects.
4 – An agreement on the basic principles, between the Arab Drilling Company and the Syrian Petroleum Company, to provide drilling and maintenance services for oil and gas wells in Syria, through leasing And operating platforms for drilling and maintaining onshore oil and gas wells in Syria.
The Arab Drilling Company, within the framework of this agreement, will provide platforms for drilling onshore wells, and platforms for providing associated maintenance services, as well as providing the necessary maintenance services, operating support, and training and development of the national workforce.
