China’s consumer price index rose by 0.7% in November

BEIJING, 10 DECEMBER/WAM/ The consumer price index in China rose by 0.7% on an annual basis last November, compared to 0.2% during October 2025, recording its highest level since March 2024, according to data from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics issued today, Wednesday.

Bureau data showed that the rise in the consumer price index, a key measure of inflation, during November at a higher pace than the previous month, was driven by a rise in food prices.

According to the data, the index declined by 0.1% on a monthly basis during last November.

The core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, rose 1.2% year-on-year last month.

The data revealed that the producer price index, which measures the costs of goods at the factory gate, decreased by 2.2% on an annual basis last November.
