The Egyptian artist of Lebanese origin, Iman Sarkeesian, revealed the truth about the news that was circulating about her retirement from art.

Iman spoke in press statements about the reasons for her long absence, confirming that she spends her time outside Egypt, but she has not and will not retire from art, but rather decided to move away due to not finding work worthy of her artistic career and history.

Iman said: “I have not retired from art. I am just spending my vacation outside Egypt, but I have not and will not retire. I will return to my fans if there is a suitable opportunity to return.”

It is noteworthy that Iman has been absent from the artistic community since 2015, when her last work was the series “Eyes of the Heart” with the artist Rania Youssef, and after this work the artist did not participate in other works.

It is noteworthy that Iman, of Armenian origin, graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the American University of Beirut, and then studied theatrical acting at the same university, so her fame began to spread through the stage, and she later moved to Egypt, where she participated in several works, including “Human Garden City,” “Escape from the Dilemma,” “Unpaid Killer,” “Agent No. 13,” “Shaban Below Zero,” and others.
