Inclusion of Italian cuisine on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List

The Italian application, which was submitted in the year 2023, was among 68 applications studied by a United Nations committee in New Delhi, which also recognized the Diwali festival, i.e. the Festival of Lights, in India.

The Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, expressed her happiness with this recognition, Especially since its far-right government promotes products "Made in Italy" As part of its national program.
