US stock indices rose after the decision to cut interest rates


US stock indices closed trading yesterday, Wednesday, approaching their record levels after Federal Reserve Board (the central bank) of the United States The main interest rate increased by a quarter of a percentage point to support the labor market, while hopes were strengthened for further cuts over the coming year.
The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose by 46.17 points, or 0.7%, to 6,886.68 points.
While the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 497.46 points, or 1%, to 48,057.75, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 77.67 points, or 0.3%, to 23,654.16 points.
