Maduro: We are ready to break the fangs of the American empire

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that his country is “ready to break the teeth of the North American empire if necessary.” In a speech that coincided with Washington’s announcement of the detention of an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.

Although he neglected to directly refer to the detention process, Maduro stressed in a speech he delivered to a crowd of his supporters in Caracas, surrounded by senior government officials, that the ruling party is the only force capable of “ensuring peace, stability and harmonious development for Venezuela, South America and the Caribbean region.”
