" UAE for investors abroad "Its first meeting will be held in 2026

Abu Dhabi, 18 March / WAM / The Emirates Council for Overseas Investors held its first meeting for the year 2026, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade and Chairman of the Council, to discuss and discuss the strategic priorities that constitute the country’s investment agenda, and mechanisms for consolidating the UAE’s position as one of the largest investors around the world, and in a way that enhances its international position on the map of the global economy.
During the meeting, a group of new initiatives aimed at supporting the state’s long-term strategy in the field of investment were discussed, with council members exchanging visions and ideas about the role of these initiatives in achieving national economic priorities and achieving the state’s strategic goals.
Al-Zeyoudi stressed that the Emirates Council for Overseas Investors is an important platform for communicating with elite Emirati investors, whose visions contribute to developing initiatives that support national investment and commercial goals.
He said that the Council aims, through the initiatives proposed for implementation in 2026, to ensure the continued consolidation of the UAE’s position as a global center for trade and investment, and to continue working to protect UAE investments abroad, which have been pumped into more than 90 countries, by expanding the country’s network of investment partners, and building partnership relationships with countries located in the most prominent economic growth regions around the world.
Last October, the Emirates Council for Overseas Investors adopted a new strategic vision, which includes a new bylaw, a revised governance structure, and an updated institutional identity, which strengthens the Council’s mission to direct and support Emirati investments abroad and align them with the UAE’s economic agenda.
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Council for Overseas Investors was established in 2009, and has emerged as a vital platform for unifying the efforts of the government and private sectors in the UAE. The newly expanded tasks of the Emirates Council for Overseas Investors include building a membership base that fully represents the Emirati investment community, protecting Emirati investments abroad through proactive support, facilitating investment abroad by consolidating cooperation between the government and private sectors, and providing a major center for exchanging knowledge and information, including exchanging best practices and mapping risks in countries receiving Emirati investments.
