SABIC: Intensifying partnerships supports the growth of the petrochemical sector in the Gulf
The CEO called "SABIC" Executive Member of its Board of Directors, Chairman of the Board of Directors (GPCA), Eng. Abdul Rahman Al-Faqih called for intensifying regional and global strategic partnerships in the petrochemical industry.
During his participation in the nineteenth annual forum of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), held in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period from 8 to 11 December 2025 AD, he noted the importance of deepening strategic partnerships around the world, especially strategic partnerships that ensure cooperation between the public and private sectors, as an important catalyst.
Petrochemicals are supportive of the domestic product
He stated that cooperation is no longer an option, and has become a necessity to support the strength of the economy and society, production efficiency and industry growth in the long term, especially since the petrochemical sector is an essential pillar of economic diversification, as it contributes about a third of the value of the manufacturing sector in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and more than 4% of their gross domestic product.
