"Emirates Balanced Development" Organizes Emirates Village Festivals in Masfout and Qedfa

Abu Dhabi, December 11 / WAM / The Emirates Council for Balanced Development announced the organization of the Emirates Villages Festivals in the Masfout regions in the Emirate of Ajman, and in the Emirate of Fujairah, with the aim of highlighting cultural heritage and social diversity, revitalizing the local economy, and enhancing the tourist attraction of rural areas in the country.

The organization of the “Nasmat Masfout” and “Between the Palms of Qadfa” festivals comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, and his strategic vision in preserving the cultural and environmental heritage, and strengthening the solid national identity in parallel with supporting paths of sustainable development, especially economic and tourism, in various rural areas, in a way that enhances the quality of life and achieves social stability for the residents of these areas. regions.

The “Nasamat Masfout Festival” begins on December 14 and continues until the 31st of the same month, while the “Between the Palms of Qidfa” festival begins on December 15 and continues until the 31st of the same month.

These festivals offer several interactive programs suitable for all members of society, through a group of events that allow visitors to explore rural areas, interact with folk arts, and participate in sports and entertainment activities, ensuring a comprehensive experience that meets various interests and enhances the status of the Emirates’ villages as a global tourist destination.

These festivals, open to the public, reflect the Council’s commitment to providing sustainable and innovative initiatives within the “Emirates Villages” project, which seek to enhance cultural identity, highlight social diversity, and advance economic and tourism growth, in addition to celebrating Emirati heritage, through live performances of handicrafts and traditional arts and holding interactive workshops, which reflect the authenticity of the cultural heritage, consolidate national identity, preserve the intangible cultural heritage and ensure its circulation across generations.
