Inclusion of the art of “creatures” on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO

The UAE has succeeded in including the art of “creatures” as a national heritage on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, said in a blog post on his official account on the “X” platform: “The UAE has succeeded in including the art of “cresions” as a national file on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO… and registering “bisht,” “bridal wedding,” and “Arabic kohl” as joint Arab files.”
He added: “All thanks to the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi for its efforts that contributed to achieving this international achievement, which reflects the pioneering role of the UAE in preserving its intangible cultural heritage.”
