Sharjah Asset Management and a Dutch delegation explore opportunities for cooperation in the areas of sustainability and climate-neutral real estate

Sharjah, December 11 / WAM / Sharjah Asset Management Company – the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, today discussed with a delegation from the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dubai, strengthening communication channels and exploring opportunities for cooperation in developing climate-neutral properties in desert environments.
The two sides discussed ways to work together in the areas of sustainable real estate development and benefit from international experiences in designing highly efficient buildings in line with the UAE’s directions towards achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences on the latest technologies and practices in raising the efficiency of energy use and building facilities that support long-term sustainability goals, in addition to the contribution of Dutch expertise and technologies to building more energy-efficient buildings and building buildings free of carbon emissions.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Vice President of Sharjah Asset Management, and Ibrahim Al Hoti, Head of the Executive Office, along with a number of leaders, while the visiting delegation included Ms. Kenza Tarakat, Deputy Consul General, and representatives of the “Climate Neutral Real Estate” program, which includes 12 Dutch companies specialized in developing sustainable buildings and green financing.
Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Qasimi said: This meeting constitutes an important step in strengthening international cooperation in the field of real estate sustainability, and we are pleased to host a specialized delegation representing one of the world’s leading countries in green technologies, noting that exchanging experiences with international partners opens broad horizons for developing real estate projects that contribute to achieving the vision of Sharjah and the UAE towards a low-carbon future.
He stressed Sharjah Asset Management’s keenness to adopt the best international practices in the field of sustainable real estate development and strive to build an advanced urban environment that takes into account energy efficiency and conserves resources.
