The Events Insurance Committee in Dubai discusses preparations for the New Year celebration

During a coordination meeting, the Events Security Committee in Dubai discussed plans and field preparations to secure New Year’s celebrations in 2026, including fireworks sites, tourist areas, and public gathering sites in various parts of the emirate.

The meeting was held at the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, headed by the Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, Chairman of the Events Insurance Committee, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, and in the presence of the Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Ports Affairs, Major General Marwan Julfar, and the Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, His Excellency Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, along with representatives of the relevant government agencies.

The participants discussed mechanisms for organizing the movement of the public, determining entry and exit areas, vehicle parking, and transportation routes to and from the celebration sites, in a way that ensures the smooth flow of movement and the safety of the public in vital and tourist sites.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei stressed that New Year’s celebrations are among the most prominent events witnessed by the Emirate of Dubai, and enjoy wide global media follow-up, which requires high-level coordination and integrated efforts between the various concerned parties, to ensure that events are organized in a way that reflects the global status of Dubai and the UAE.

He pointed out that the Events Security Committee team continues to develop its work mechanisms annually, benefiting from accumulated experience in managing and securing major events, which contributes to enhancing the readiness of the emirate’s security and service system.
