"Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian".. A new platform to support traditional sports

Al Ain, 13 December / WAM / The high indicators of success in the first edition of the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, which concluded its activities recently, established its distinguished position in highlighting the traditional sports of hunting, equestrian, falconry, and archery, and enhancing their value inherited through different generations.

The exhibition succeeded in attracting the largest number of visitors in the history of exhibitions held at ADNEC Al Ain Center, which amounted to more than 116,617 thousand visitors, which confirms the great success of the first edition, which was held on an area of ​​24 thousand square meters, with the participation of local and foreign bodies and institutions.

Visitors to the exhibition, which was organized by ADNEC Group, one of Modon’s companies, in cooperation with the Emirates Falconers Club, were exposed to exceptional experiences and the latest products and services in the fields of hunting and equestrianism. The exhibition also formed a platform to highlight the ancient Emirati culture and heritage.

The exhibition witnessed many diverse programs and exciting performances in the main designated arena, “Arena”, the most prominent of which were the horse show, the realistic simulation of falconry hunting, the Arabian Saluki shows, and the Youla competitions. The Emirates Arabian Horse Association pavilion also gave visitors an opportunity to learn about its activities and programmes, in addition to the Emirates Falcons Federation pavilion, which provided its visitors with a great opportunity to learn about the founding process, inspiring experiences, and milestones of achievements in the most prominent local and international tournaments.

His Excellency Mohammed Hamed Al Neyadi, Deputy General Supervisor of Tabba, confirmed that their participation in the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition gave them the opportunity to introduce visitors to the exhibition to the great status of this game, its deep connection to the legacy of fathers and grandfathers, and the awareness of current generations to practice it, according to modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence.

He added that they noticed from their visitors at the exhibition stand the degree of interest and passion in the ease of playing the game, and enhancing its spread based on the country’s global legacy in culture, identity and heritage, and the efforts of the wise leadership to enhance awareness of the authentic national and heritage values ​​​​deeply rooted in the conscience of Emirati society in its various generations, especially since the exhibition confirmed the attractiveness of the Al Ain region, and its role as a beacon of culture, heritage, innovation, sports and community activities.

In turn, Saeed Al Muhairi, representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said that participating in the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is an important opportunity to showcase the various events and activities through the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Clubs, Al Ain Chess and Mind Games, and the Abu Dhabi Falconers Club, and the direct experiences it contains, and integrated information about activities, programs and events, and future visions for development in various sports fields.

He explained that the Abu Dhabi Sports Council views with great appreciation the great value of this event in its first edition, and the great impact of its activities in introducing traditional sports, and enabling its visitors to view the various activities and programs organized by the Council across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the clubs and their boards of directors, in line with the strategy of spreading sports and sustaining its practice in society for all groups and generations.

For his part, Hisham Al Taher, Managing Director and CEO of Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, said that the first edition of the exhibition is a new station in the journey of excellence in the Al Ain region, with its global status in hosting and organizing sporting events with the highest international standards and specifications, and its growing role in various activities and events.

He explained that the club’s platform at the exhibition received great interest from different age groups, with the activities it included, especially the participation of visitors in playing chess matches with a “robot” with the aim of introducing the public to the sport of smart people, and emphasizing its importance in improving mental abilities.
