Among the most prominent modern destinations in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain is the “Mekoko Tourism Center” project located in the middle of the mangrove forests, which represents a qualitative addition to tourist attractions, and the “Lex Glamp” project, one of the latest and most prominent eco-tourism projects in the heart of the Umm Al Quwain Mangrove Reserve.

Since its opening in 2022, Mekoko Tourism Center has attracted attention as a qualitative addition to the unique world of tourism in Umm Al Quwain, with its distinctive location amidst the mangrove forests, the uniquely styled restaurants and cafes it contains, and the high-end tourism services that captivate visitors, through which it has become one of the favorite tourist destinations for families, beach lovers, and marine activities enthusiasts.

The “Mikoko” Tourist Center is unique in its traditional African design and engravings, and the Zanzibari style. It also contains a place for marine activities and eco-tourism, and is inspired by the easy-going lifestyle in Zanzibar. A wooden bridge was added extending into the mangrove trees so that visitors can walk among them and breathe the natural air, with kayak trips organized in addition to sports such as windsurfing and paddleboarding.
