“Zayed Al Khair” convoys treat the hearts of children and the elderly in Sindh

The Zayed Al Khair convoys began their humanitarian efforts in Pakistani villages, under the supervision of the Emirati-Pakistani Volunteer Medical Team, to provide treatment and specialized care for children and the elderly with heart disease, under the slogan “In the footsteps and approach of Zayed Al Khair,” through mobile clinics and a mobile hospital equipped with the latest diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical medical technologies, in accordance with international standards.

These efforts come within a joint humanitarian initiative that brings together the Zayed Giving Initiative, the Sharjah Charity House Foundation, and the Emirates Mobile Clinics, under the supervision of the Emirates Program for Young Voluntary and Humanitarian Leaders, and in coordination with the UAE Consulate in Karachi.

The volunteer medical team and the Emirati-Pakistani Mobile Hospital are working at their current station in Sindh province to strengthen the humanitarian partnership between health and volunteer institutions in the Emirates and Pakistan, with the aim of reaching a wide segment of children and the elderly in Pakistani villages. The mobile hospital includes Emirati and Pakistani volunteer medical teams, in addition to doctors and surgeons from several countries, all working under a common volunteer and humanitarian umbrella. The Zayed Al Khair convoys come as a continuation of the volunteer and humanitarian missions of the Zayed Giving Initiative, locally and globally, which was established in 2000, and over the past 25 years it has been able to spread its humanitarian message to many peoples of the world, in line with the values of giving and tolerance laid down by the founding leader. The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, which our wise leadership continues to instill in the people of the Emirates and enable them to work in the fields of humanitarian giving.

The head of the medical mission, Emirati cardiologist consultant, Dr. Anwar Al Zaabi, confirmed that the volunteers in the Zayed Al Khair convoys were keen to participate in the humanitarian work fields in their current station in Pakistan, in a way that reflects the pioneering role of humanitarian doctors from the Emirates and Pakistan, working in the mobile clinics and the field hospital, explaining that the medical teams provided free treatment to needy groups, and contributed to alleviating the suffering of patients in remote villages.

The patients praised the humanitarian role of the Emirati-Pakistani volunteer medical teams, which effectively contributed to alleviating the suffering of children and elderly heart patients, by volunteering in specialized field clinics, praising the efforts of the UAE in the field of specialized medical humanitarian work.
