What is Laila Ahmed Zaher’s position on motherhood after her marriage?

On the sidelines of her participation in the Red Sea International Film Festival 2025 in its fifth session, artist Laila Ahmed Zaher spoke to ET Arabic about her personal and artistic aspirations, revealing her position on the experience of motherhood, and her opinion on the Arabized series that are widely followed.

Laila confirmed that she hopes to experience motherhood in the future, but she believes that each stage has its appropriate timing, saying: “I certainly would love to be a mother, but everything comes in its own time, and when it happens, I will know all the people.”

She expressed her great admiration for the Red Sea Film Festival, describing it as a huge and honorable event. She also spoke of her love for the city of Jeddah, which she visits constantly, whether to perform Umrah or because of the presence of her mother’s friends there. Regarding the absence of her husband, artist and producer Hisham Gamal, from the festival, she explained that he was busy preparing a number of artistic works.

Regarding her artistic works, Laila revealed her participation in a new series entitled “Al-Anad”, which brings her together with the artist Ahmed Hatem and the star Maram Ali, praising the latter’s performance in the series “Salma”, which is at the top of the trend, and confirming that she will continue to work alongside her mother, acting coach Hoda Zaher. She also expressed her openness to participating in Arabized series if she finds the appropriate role.

It is noteworthy that Laila Ahmed Zaher celebrated her wedding last April 23, in a huge ceremony held in the Saqqara pyramid area, in the presence of an elite group of art stars who were keen to share the joy of the newlyweds.
