The 94th aid convoy enters the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip

The 94th convoy of humanitarian aid trucks began to enter the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, today, Monday, through the sub-gate of the Rafah land port in North Sinai Governorate, towards the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, in preparation for its entry into the Strip.

An official source in the Rafah land port stated today that the trucks are part of the “Zad al-Izza from Egypt to Gaza” convoy. The 94 carries various humanitarian aid and medical and shelter supplies to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Pointing out that trucks are subject to inspection by the Israeli occupation authorities before they enter the Gaza Strip.

It is noteworthy that the “Zad Al-Azza… from Egypt to Gaza” convoy was launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, and includes thousands of tons of aid that varied between food supply chains, flour, infant formula, medical supplies, therapeutic medications, and tons of fuel.

The Israeli occupation forces had closed the crossings linking the Gaza Strip since last March 2, after the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the failure to reach an agreement to establish the ceasefire. They violated the truce with violent air strikes on March 18 and re-entered by land into various areas of the Gaza Strip from which they had withdrawn. The occupation authorities also prevented the entry of humanitarian aid trucks, fuel, and shelter supplies for the displaced who lost their homes due to the war. On Gaza; It refused to bring the heavy equipment needed to remove rubble and reconstruction into the Gaza Strip.

Last May, the occupation authorities brought in limited quantities of aid that did not meet the minimum needs of the residents of the Gaza Strip, according to a mechanism they implemented in cooperation with an American security company, despite the rejection of that mechanism by the United Nations, other relief organizations, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) because it violates established international mechanisms in this regard..

The Red Crescent has been present as a national mechanism for coordinating and distributing aid to the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the crisis in October 2023. The Rafah land port was not closed permanently during that period, and it continues its readiness in all logistical centers and its continuous efforts to bring aid in through 35,000 volunteers.
