The Fujairah Chamber organizes an entrepreneurship forum in cooperation with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation

Fujairah, December 15 / WAM / His Excellency Sultan Al-Hindassi, Director General of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed that the Chamber pays great attention to the development of the small and medium enterprises sector, based on its pivotal role in promoting economic growth, creating job opportunities and supporting innovation, and that it works to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for entrepreneurship, through an integrated system of services and facilities that help owners of ideas and projects to transform their ideas into a tangible reality, under the umbrella of the Fujairah Enterprise Support Center. The small company founded by the Chamber in 2007.

This came during the “Youth Entrepreneurship” Forum, which was organized by the Chamber in cooperation with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation at the Chamber’s headquarters, in the presence of a number of business owners, pioneers and women.

Al-Hindassi stated that the Chamber organized more than 50 training courses and workshops to enhance the skills of male and female entrepreneurs and graduated one hundred male and female entrepreneurs during the organization of the Professional Diploma in Trade and Entrepreneurship programme. It also included male and female entrepreneurs among the delegations that participated annually in the Canton Fair in China and the Jakarta International Trade Fair in Indonesia, and this year it participated with a delegation in the “Franchise” exhibition held in Turkey. The Chamber also signed a cooperation agreement with the National Fund for Social Responsibility in the Emirates “Majara” regarding community empowerment projects during participation in the “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition.

Ms. Sarah Abdul Jalil, Director of Programs at the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation, spoke at the forum and said that the Foundation attaches importance, within its educational programs, to training young citizens to enable them to enter the labor market by establishing small and medium-sized enterprises. She indicated that her participation with the Fujairah Chamber to organize the forum comes on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Foundation and its work in the field of investing in people, based on a firm belief that empowering youth is the true path to building a prosperous future and a knowledge-based economy.

She added that the Foundation’s programs, since its inception, have attracted approximately 200 ambitious Emirati women from various emirates of the country and succeeded in graduating approximately 160 female entrepreneurs who presented innovative and applicable ideas.

Ms. Sarah Sufyan, representative of Skyrise Partner, one of the companies involved in the Foundation’s programs, also spoke at the forum. She praised the Fujairah Chamber’s interest in training and qualifying young people and transforming their ideas into tangible projects. She also praised the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation for training young people in the field of entrepreneurship.

A dialogue session was also held during which Dr. Anwar Hamim bin Sulayem, university professor and business development advisor, and Ms. Sarah Abdel Jalil, Director of Programs at the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation, spoke. It was moderated by Ms. Fatima Humaid Al Shara, head of the Fujairah Small Enterprise Support Center at the Chamber. The dialogue revolved around the challenges in the entrepreneurship journey, the role of the entrepreneurship system in the success of projects, the importance of developing skills and empowering young people to enter the business world, and the role of capacity building and education in preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The forum was accompanied by an exhibition of entrepreneurs who participated in the Professional Diploma in Commerce and Entrepreneurship program organized by the Chamber and the programs organized by the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation.
