The President of the Opera House mourns Dr. Saber Arab, the former Minister of Culture

Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, President of the Egyptian Opera House, and all the artists and workers, mourned Dr. Mohamed Saber Arab, the former Minister of Culture, who passed away after a distinguished journey of knowledge that enriched the cultural scene in Egypt and the Arab world. He said that the deceased was one of the cultural icons and a prominent academic figure, and made great contributions to enriching the Arab library and supporting the arts and heritage during his intellectual career. 

It is worth noting that Dr. Mohamed Saber Ibrahim Arab A prominent historian and academic, he held the position of Minister of Culture. He was born in the city of Desouk, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, and graduated from Al-Azhar University, where he worked as a professor of modern Arab history at the Faculty of Arabic Language. He rose through academic positions until he became a professor. He also served as president of the National Library and Archives, and contributed to its development and digital transformation. He enriched the Arab library with dozens of books and research. In modern and contemporary history, he won the State Appreciation Award in the Social Sciences (2012), the Nile Prize in the Social Sciences (2024), and was chosen as Cultural Personality of the Year at the Sharjah International Book Fair (2017). He passed away after a long struggle with illness, leaving a unique scientific and cultural legacy.
