642 mounts participate in the Mafarid races within the Madinat Zayed Mazayna
Abu Dhabi, 15 December / WAM / The Madinat Zayed Mazayna, the third leg of the 19th Al Dhafra Festival, recorded the participation of 642 purebred camel mounts in the Sun Al Mafarid competitions (Al-Mahaliyat, Al-Majahim, Al-Wadh, Al-Muhajinat Al-Asayel), distributed over 15 rounds for which 140 prizes were allocated, as their competitions were held at the Camel Mazayna platform in Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra region. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.
The announcement of the results and the crowning of the winners were attended by Issa Matar Al Falahi, the guest of honor of the auction, His Excellency Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, along with a number of camel owners and those interested in heritage auctions.
The results in the Mafarid round of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs – Local, resulted in first place going to “Sogha” owned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, second place went to “Ghazlan” owned by Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, third place went to “Maraseem” owned by Sheikh Jassim Faisal Abdul Rahman Jassim Al Thani, and fourth place went to “Al Dhabi” owned by Sheikh Mohammed. Sultan Salem Muhammad Al Qasimi, and “Aafal” ranked fifth, owned by Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It won first place in the race for the mafarid of Their Highnesses Sheikhs and whoever wishes from the tribes in Al-Wadh, “Dhakhayer Ibn Suwayd,” owned by Hassan Saud Hassan Al-Masari Al-Dosari, and first place in the race for the mafarid of purebred hybrids went to “Al-Shabhana,” owned by Khamis Majid Rashid Shafyan Al-Mansouri.
As for the Mafarid Sharaya race for Tribesmen (1) – Majahim, it won first place, “Marfuqah,” for its owner Eid Hamoud Salmeen Hamid Al Mansouri, and in the Mafarid Sharaya race for Tribesmen (1) – Mahalliyat, it deserved first place, “Al Kayeda,” for its owner Saleh Jaber Saleh Al Qamda Al Ameri, and in the Mafarid Sharaya race for Tribesmen (2) – Majahim, “Safina” for its owner, Noah Muhammad Muslim Ali, won first place. Al-Rashidi, and “Labiyah” owned by Shehab Hamad Nasser Al-Maliki, took first place in the Mafarid Sharaya race for tribal people (2) – local.
On a related note, this morning, the Mazayna grids entered the participating mounts in the rounds of Al-Haqaqiyat Al-Sharayya and Al-Talad for the Majahim and Local, in addition to the Al-Asa’il and Al-Wadh Al-Mahajen, in preparation for presenting them to the relevant committees (sorting, similarity and teething, medical, arbitration), and their results will be announced tomorrow evening, Tuesday, via the Baynounah channel and the “Our Heritage” platforms on social networking sites and on Al Dhafra Festival Radio (FM 90.1) in the vicinity of Al-Mazayna site, while tomorrow morning the camels will participate in the Al-Lakaya rounds competitions for the local, Al-Majahim, and the Al-Asayel and Al-Wahdah races.
