65 artists from 37 countries enrich Diriyah Biennial of Contemporary Art 2026

The Diriyah Biennial Foundation announced the list of participating artists in Diriyah Biennial for Contemporary Art 2026, scheduled to open next January 30 in the JAX in Diriyah.
This course is titled "In the solution and travel"Its topics are inspired by movements, migration, and transformations that have contributed throughout history to building bridges of communication and exchange between the Arab region and various cultures of the world.
More than 70 artists… and more than 20 new artworks.

Collective Imagination
This edition witnesses the participation of more than 65 artists from more than 37 countries, and also displays 22 new artworks, produced on commission by The Diriyah Biennial Foundation, by artists, musicians, directors, architects, and writers, whose works address the concepts of continuity, resilience, and collective imagination during periods of transformation.
The Diriyah Biennial, whose third session is supervised by artistic directors Noura Razian and Sabih Ahmed, presents a wide range of artistic experiences that address new horizons for reconsidering the worlds around us, and keep pace with the social and environmental transformations that contributed to shaping the features of the beginnings of The twenty-first century.
Contemporary experiences
This comes within an elaborate scenography designed by the Italian design studio Forma Fantasma, through which it embodies an artistic vision in which history, collective memory, and contemporary experiences intertwine, in a harmony that reflects the presence of man, environment, and imagination, in a unified rhythm, echoing through songs, stories, and the roar of the wind.
While the CEO of the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, Aya Al-Bakri, explained that the event will bring together Artists from multiple generations, regions and specializations, which will allow a diversity of artistic experiences in Diriyah.
The two artistic directors explained that this edition of the Diriyah Biennale emphasizes the importance of art and its role in reading the transformations witnessed by the contemporary world, indicating that over the past year, the participating artists and the team of curators worked to study the historical contexts of the Arab region, and monitor the rapid transformations that contribute to reshaping its features, in addition to interacting with broader intellectual questions that are global.
