Festival activities start "Between palm trees" In Fujairah

Fujairah, December 15 / WAM / The activities of the “Among the Palms of Qidfa” kicked off today in the Qidfa farms in the Emirate of Fujairah, which is organized by the Emirates Council for Balanced Development as part of the activities of the “Emirates Villages” program and will continue until December 31, amid an authentic social and heritage atmosphere that reflects the cultural diversity in the Emirates.

The organization of the festival comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, and his strategic vision to enhance national identity and preserve the cultural, heritage and environmental heritage in parallel with supporting economic and tourism development paths in various rural areas in a way that enhances the quality of life and achieves social stability for the residents of these areas.

The “Among the Palms of Qidfa” festival includes paths and tours between farms, an art exhibition, workshops inspired by nature, family activities and children’s play areas, so that visitors can enjoy natural views that stimulate the senses in an experience in which we celebrate the splendor of the culture and identity of the people of the region in an atmosphere of delight and joy.

The festival’s activities continue for two weeks and begin daily at 4:30 pm until 10 pm, ensuring the participation of the largest number of visitors in its various activities, which are held in a social and heritage atmosphere that meets the aspirations of families and visitors.

The “Among the Palms of Qidfa” festival comes as a platform to enhance national identity and consolidate community affiliation, reflecting the Council’s vision of developing cultural tourism and supporting the local economy in rural areas.

The events accompanying the festival also provide opportunities for merchants, farmers and craftsmen to display their products and interact with the public, which contributes to stimulating entrepreneurship and innovation and enhancing the sustainability of small and medium enterprises in rural areas.
