Under the directives of the President of the State… the opening of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Park in Abu Dhabi

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” the Department of Municipalities and Transport announced the opening of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Park, on the occasion of the fifty-fourth National Day of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, corresponding to December 16, 2025, and in celebration of the established relations between the two brotherly countries.
The department indicated that the opening of the park came after comprehensive development works that provide a unique experience for its visitors in a natural atmosphere represented by a forest containing more than 1,100 perennial Ghaf trees, forming an ideal destination for families, sports lovers, and nature lovers. It includes an air-conditioned walkway extending over a distance of approximately 700 metres, elevated paths and others for natural scenery, in addition to areas designated for sports, a bicycle track, and a path with hills designated for skiing and jumping. By bicycle, all surrounded by the shade of the unique Ghaf trees.
In this context, the head of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Muhammad Ali Al-Sharafa, confirmed that the opening of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Park reflects the depth of the ties that bring the two countries together, the most important of which is the fraternal relationship between their leaders, extending to their people. He also expressed the pride of the Department of Municipalities and Transport for being the body responsible for taking care of and preserving the park.
The park provides open grassy spaces and platforms for practicing yoga and meditation, in addition to designated play areas for children of all ages, and others for people of determination and senior citizens and residents. In the middle of the garden is a new café, which includes a cooled outdoor balcony and a high viewing point that offers stunning views of the forest, in addition to various food trucks and fresh water drinking fountains.
